Privacy Policy

WedCam is a disposable camera for weddings: guests take photos on their own phones, and everything stays private to that one celebration. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

How photos are used

Photos are visible only to the couple and the guests of that wedding — in the live feed, on the venue wall if the couple turns it on, and in the albums delivered afterward. There is no public gallery, no social graph, and no cross-wedding sharing. We never post, license, or use wedding photos for marketing or to train AI models.

Face matching

Face matching is optional and off by default. If a guest chooses to find photos they’re in, they take one selfie; we use it solely to match their face against that wedding’s photos, and the selfie and the face data derived from it are deleted once their album is delivered. Guests who skip this simply receive the photos they took.

Storage and retention

Photos are stored encrypted and hosted for 12 months from the wedding date. The couple can download the full-resolution archive at any time during that period, and can delete the wedding — including every photo — whenever they choose. After 12 months, the wedding and its photos are permanently deleted.

What we don’t do

Your choices

Guests can ask the couple to remove any photo, or contact us directly to have photos of them or their display name removed. Couples can export or delete their wedding at any time. We answer every request at the address below.
