Privacy Policy

WedCam is a disposable camera for weddings: guests take photos on their own phones, and everything stays private to that one celebration. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Photos— the pictures guests take through the wedding camera, along with the time they were taken. In the full app each photo is also saved to the guest’s own photo library, on their device, so they always keep their own copy. Guests shooting through the App Clip don’t get that second copy: Apple doesn’t allow an App Clip to touch the photo library at all.
• A display name— the name a guest enters when joining, so photos can carry a byline like “Rachel · just now”.
• A device identifier— a random ID created on the guest’s phone when they join a wedding. It links their photos to their shot count and is not tied to their identity, phone number, or any advertising ID.

How photos are used

Photos go straight into that wedding’s private collection, delivered to the couple after the celebration with every photo carrying the name of the guest who took it. There is no public gallery, no social graph, no cross-wedding sharing, and no face recognition. We never post, license, or use wedding photos for marketing or to train AI models.

Storage and retention

Photos are stored encrypted with our hosting provider and kept so the couple can receive their full-resolution album after the wedding. The couple can have the wedding — including every photo — permanently deleted at any time by contacting us.

What we don’t do

• No ads, and no selling or sharing of personal data with data brokers.
• No public profiles, likes, comments, or follower counts.
• No location tracking beyond what a photo itself contains.

Your choices

Guests can ask the couple to remove any photo, or contact us directly to have photos of them or their display name removed. Couples can request their full album or delete their wedding at any time. We answer every request at the address below.
