Stuck at a wedding, mid-toast, camera in hand? Email hello@wedcam.app — we read everything, and during wedding weekends we answer fast.

Joining a wedding

WedCam only works at weddings that use it. Scan the QR code on the invitation or at the venue with the scanner that opens when you launch the app. If the code won’t scan — printed QRs meet wine sometimes — tap “Enter code instead” and type the short code printed beneath it.

Taking photos

You get a set number of shots for the celebration, counted down like a film roll — the app shows how many you have left. Every photo uploads automatically to the couple’s private album and is also saved to your own photo library, so you always keep your copy. There’s nothing to submit and no way to lose a shot — if the venue Wi-Fi drops, the upload retries on its own.

Permissions

WedCam asks for two things: the camera (to scan the QR and take photos) and add-only access to your photo library (to save your shots to it — WedCam can never see or read your existing photos). Both can be changed later in Settings → WedCam.

Getting the album

The couple receives every photo, full resolution, with the name of the guest who took it. Couples: email us from the address you used with us and we’ll get you your album.

Removing a photo or your name

Ask the couple, or email us directly and we’ll remove photos of you or your display name. Couples can have their whole wedding permanently deleted at any time. Details in our privacy policy.
