Terms of Use
Last updated: August 3, 2026
These terms cover the WedCam app and website. They’re written to be read, not to be survived. If something here isn’t clear, email hello@wedcam.app and we’ll explain it in plain words.
What WedCam is
A couple creates a wedding and gets a QR code. Guests scan it, type their name, and take photos on their own phones. Those photos go to the couple’s album. That’s the whole product.
Scanning opens the WedCam app if a guest has it, and an App Clip if they don’t — either way they’re shooting in seconds, with no account. Keeping copies of your own photos in your phone’s camera roll is the one part that needs the full app, because Apple doesn’t allow an App Clip to write to your photo library.
Buying a wedding
One payment covers one wedding. It is not a subscription and it does not renew — there is nothing to cancel. You can buy inside the app, where your Apple Account is charged when you confirm, or on this website.
Guests never pay. If anyone asks a guest for money to use WedCam, it isn’t us.
The iOS app itself is licensed to you under Apple’s standard app license. These terms are the ones that cover the service around it — your photos, your album, and this website.
Refunds
Purchases made inside the app are handled by Apple, and refunds go through Apple’s process rather than us. For anything bought on this website, email us — if your wedding hasn’t happened yet, we’ll refund you.
Your photos are yours
Guests keep the copyright to the photos they take. Couples get every photo from their wedding at full resolution. We store them so we can show them to you, and for nothing else: we don’t sell them, license them, train on them, or use them to advertise WedCam without asking you first.
We host a wedding’s photos for twelve months. We’ll warn you by email before that runs out so you can download everything. Couples can ask us to delete a wedding permanently at any time.
Fair use of the camera
Each guest gets a set number of photos per wedding, shown in the app as you shoot, and each wedding has a storage allowance. These exist so one guest can’t exhaust a couple’s album. Don’t use WedCam to upload anything unlawful, or anything of someone who has asked you not to.
Things we can’t promise
We work hard to keep uploads flowing on bad venue Wi-Fi, and in the full app every photo is saved to the guest’s own phone as a second copy. But we can’t promise the service will be uninterrupted, and we’re not liable for a photo nobody took. Our liability to you is limited to what you paid us.
Ending things
You can stop using WedCam whenever you like. We may suspend an account that is being used to break these terms or the law. If we ever shut the service down, we’ll give couples notice and time to download their albums.
